Power4 hires points heating generators to many locations on the rail network.

Points heating, powered by diesel generators in areas where there is no suitable electricity supply is essential to keep the trains running during adverse weather conditions.

Remote monitoring on a daily basis from our control room ensures that the generators are always ready for use when the temperature demands.

As with all Power4 products and services, we guarantee a response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Signal Supply Points

Designed in conjunction with Network Rail Maintenance Engineers and built and tested in our approved R&D facility our Signal Supply Point (SSP) is housed within a vandal-proof container, with a separate area for the generator, switchgear and UPS systems.

When installed it monitors the mains supply, starting up automatically if it senses a fault, thus ensuring a continuous power supply to the rail network signalling.

Level Crossing Supply Points

The Level Crossing Supply Point (CSP) is designed for use where continuous power supply is critical on the rail network. Built in a vandal proof re-locatable unit with separate areas for the generator, UPS system and control room, the CSP provides a fully integrated, reliable back-up power supply.

With a compact design for ease of delivery, the CSP can be supplied with many options – a temperature controlled operating environment and remote monitoring are just two of the frequently installed options.
